Printing the Terrace Dock.
Fit coupon, print settings, optional feet and the bit map for the Fanttik NEX E2 Ultra desk dock.
Check the fit first
Print the fit coupon in the filament and settings you plan to use for the stand. It copies the dock mouth, bore and 45° seat, and has three hex pockets marked with one, two and three dots: 4.25, 4.35 and 4.45 mm across flats. The stand uses the two-dot size.
- Bits should go into the two-dot pocket by hand, without forcing.
- If they bind there but fit the three-dot pocket, increase your slicer’s X-Y hole compensation by about 0.05 mm for the stand. That also opens the dock bore, slot and insert pilots slightly.
- The driver body should slide into the coupon bore and rest on its seat.
Setting names and effects vary between slicers, so treat these as starting suggestions.
Print the stand
- Material: PETG or PETG-CF. Use a hardened nozzle for PETG-CF.
- Orientation: as exported, flat base on the plate, no supports.
- Starting settings: 0.4 mm nozzle, 0.2 mm layers, 4 walls, 5 top and 4 bottom layers, 20–25% gyroid infill, seam at the back, ironing off.
- Scale: 100%, in millimetres. Never scale the dock; its pockets and bore are sized for the real tool.
Our offline Bambu Studio reference slice on a Bambu Lab A1 profile estimates about 6 hours and 149 g of PETG for the stand. Your time and weight will differ with your printer and settings.
Add the optional feet
The stand can sit directly on its flat base. For the TPU feet you need four M3xL4xD5 brass heat-set inserts, four M3 × 8 mm socket-head screws and a soldering iron with an insert tip.
- Print four feet in TPU 95A HF, flat face down.
- With the stand upside down, set an insert flush into the pilot in each round foot seat. Let it cool.
- Place each foot flat face into its seat and fix it with a screw until snug, without crushing the TPU.
Hot tools can burn. Follow your iron’s safety instructions.
Load the bits
Each section is marked by its tip symbol, engraved just before its pockets. Columns run left to right and bits front to back. The six 45 mm bits go in the deeper pockets.
- Back tier: solid cross, Phillips (6) · bar, slotted (6) · hexagon outline, hex (9) · six-point star, Torx and security Torx (10).
- Front tier: three arms, tri-wing (6) · five-point star, pentalobe (3) · square (2) · triangle (3) · fork, U-type (3) · hollow cross, W (1) · ring with dot, SIM pin (1).
START_HERE.txt in your download lists the position of every bit.
What has been checked
The stand model and every file in the download passed digital mesh, dimension and slicer checks. A Harbe Works prototype stand has been printed, and the pocket size was chosen after testing a genuine NEX E2 Ultra bit set in the fit coupon. Results still depend on your printer, filament, settings and hardware. No load, heat, charging-safety or durability claim is made.
